The Local Enterprise Office has reported that approximately 1,000 women in Ireland start a business every month.  Local Enterprise Week 2022 runs from March 7th – 11th, with Tuesday 8th being International Womens’ Day.  While setting up a new business can be stressful there is plenty of help available.

  • Assess your finances and identify available grant and loan options.
  • Understand and mitigate against potential risks.
  • Decide what type of company structure best suits you and your business.
  • Business structures options available in Ireland include:
  • Private Company Limited by Shares (LTD)
  • Sole Trader
  • Designated Activity Company (DAC)
  • Company Limited by Guarantee
  • Open a business bank account.
  • Register with Revenue and the Company Registration office (CRO).
  • Consider taxes, payroll, bookkeeping and annual accounting requirements.
